Hey Matt, that's correct. The only way to test it is using the "Send demo" functionality. Or you can wait of course until the plugin triggers its first cron event.
While the plugin is very specific about it's hooks, we decided to create a trigger that fires based on the email notifications to send out all collected links during that period.
